Andrew Elamin - Tod Ellyson - Phil "Lowdown" Towne - Jeff Larson (photo from the CD) Phil "Lowdown" Towne - vocals/harpJeff Larson (aka "King Crawdad") - guitar/sax/vocalsJeff is a versatile guitarist who mixes a variety of styles into the material. He has a rock background but can get down and dirty with the blues too. He also gives good twang. But he is in heaven when he's in the middle of that space-groove, that permagroove, when the whole room is being catapulted to another plane.Brian Cutler - drumsBrian has been in bands around the Boston area for ages. He is a great all-around player, who can rock out or shuffle on thru. Brian takes us to the edge, then eases us back.Andy Elamin - bassAndy played on and helped produce the CD. He brought in his own era and wacky sounds to the project.Cameo appearances on the CD are made by.... Sax Gordon - tenor sax"Sax" Gordon Beadle (aka "Tino Barker" when playing the baritone sax) is a local Boston success story, catapulting his way as a premier blues sax sideman by playing with such greats as Luther "Guitar Junior" Johnson, Luther Allison, Matt "Guitar" Murphy, Duke Robillard, and on and on (sounds fantastic but is indeed true!). He also plays with local Boston bands Love Dogs, Eric "Two Scoops" Moore, Stovall Brown, Madeline Hall, and whoever is lucky enough to get him for a fill-in.Mickey Bones - percussion & Mardi Gras maniaMickey Bones is already a Boston legend. Having been diverted to New Orleans for a few years, Mickey is back in Boston. He heads the bands Bones of Contention, Krewe de Roux, and the Hot Tamale Brass Band. As you can probably tell, he has a heavy inclination towards Louisiana music. Catch him in the act sometime. It's a blast!Mike DiBari - guitarMike, who plays that great swing solo in Howl, has his own band, the Mike DiBari Band. They play around Boston...they have that big horn band sound.Scott Lawson Pomeroy - guitarScott plays the slide solo on Roadhouse Church. He's been dabbling in various musical genres, including country, Irish rock, and R&B. |
